Remote Learning Schedule: September 16th-18th
Dear Parents and Students,
I hope you are safe and well, and enjoyed this beautiful weekend. I am writing to share the schedule for this week’s three-day orientation program for all students. Students will meet by grade level within their SLC on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday according to the schedule below. We will utilize the same schedule for each day and we will be taking attendance in each session. In the next few days, students will receive an invite to an SLC grade-level Google Classroom. The links to the orientation meetings for each of the three days will be shared with students in this SLC Google Classroom. We invite parents to attend as well, so you can hear the same information at the same time. All students must attend. The schedule is below:

It is my hope that the information that will be provided on these three days will assist you in getting ready for the start of the year. There are so many details that are new for this school year, yet we are doing our best to make sure that there is some resemblance to a regular school year with having students remain with New Dorp teachers from their SLC wherever possible, whether students are fully remote or blended during this school year.
We look forward to seeing all of our students, remotely, this coming Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Please keep in mind that all students will begin the school year on Monday, September 21 by attending all classes remotely on this day. The first in-person day will be Tuesday, September 22 for “Tuesday Only” students (student programs will indicate the day of the week that the student will attend in-person). All full time remote students will attend their schedule each day remotely.
For new to New Dorp students and incoming 9th grade students, you will receive an email tomorrow with directions as to how to set up student New Dorp High School gmail accounts, (@newdorphs.org). The invitation to the SLC Google Classroom, will be sent to that gmail account.
As we begin this unprecedented school year, I ask for your patience and understanding as we charter these new waters together. I know that together, as the New Dorp family, we will make this work!! Communication will be key in our success going forward. I wish all our student much success in the new school year.
