Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year. We hope you had an enjoyable summer and are now prepared for another great school year. We are committed to providing every student that enters New Dorp with a meaningful high school experience.
This starts day one with Freshmen Orientation. Please pay careful attention to the information below as it outlines a special schedule for the first day of school. Furthermore, in order for us to have success as a community, it is important that we work in collaboration. Please read all information found on the back of this memo regarding necessary paperwork, online communication, and dates for parent orientation.

The first day of school for ALL STUDENTS is Thursday, September 10, 2026. We will run a special schedule to acclimate our incoming freshmen to the school building and staff. Please click the link to see the schedule.

Using your last name, look at the alpha groups in the left column and report to the room listed on the right. If you have 2 last names, please go by the first one listed on your NDHS ID.
