Basic eligibility criteria:
· Authorized to work in the US – documents needed
· Not currently employed or in college
· Aged 17-29 years old
· Have an H.S. diploma or H.S.E.
· Able to attend an intensive class full-time 9-5 Monday – Friday for 5 months from mid-Feb - early July
· Have a strong interest in technology
· Have basic computer skills, including keyboarding, and working with files and folders
· English proficiency
· Meet all federal selective service requirements

In addition to the criteria listed above, students will have to pass a 10th-grade TABE reading test, a basic math test, and a keyboarding test. They will also be interviewed by program staff at LaGuardia and will have a phone interview with General Assembly prior to being admitted to the program. The first two weeks of the ACE program will be a vestibule model, and students will be officially admitted only after they successfully complete these two weeks. They are accepting candidates who have some college, or associate’s degrees. Students with bachelor’s degrees will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
