New Dorp High School's 3rd annual Breast Cancer Volleyball Tournament.

This weekend, New Dorp girls' volleyball coach Victoria Torricelli hosted the third annual Diggin' for a Cure tournament to raise money for breast cancer research.

Torricelli started the tournament after her friend, Jaymee Anderson, lost her battle with breast cancer in 2014. "She rallied, and pushed, and fought until she couldn’t fight anymore," Torricelli said of the former Moore Catholic HS basketball player. "Now it is our turn to rally in memory of her. This fundraiser is more than just a memorial for a good friend; it is a fight for all our survivors and fighters."

If you wish to make a donation, please send a check made out to New Dorp High School and in the memo field put Digging for a Cure and send it to New Dorp HS, 465 New Dorp Lane, Staten Island, N.Y. 10306. Attention Victoria Torricelli, head volleyball coach.
