Memoir
It is said that High School are the best years of your life. And although I know that is
not entirely true, I do know that your high school years are among some of the fondest
memories you will ever have. It is a time of growing, developing, learning, and creating
amazing friendships with extraordinary people. And despite the angst of our teenage years
and despite all the pain and frustration we feel as we travel through our high school years,
one thing is true for everyone, these are the years that we will remember forever, they are
the years that often times shape us into who we will become, good or bad. High School can
be difficult and in our freshman and sophmore year we often hate it, but it's suppose to be hard.
Hardship will always produce character, and that's a good thing. So never shy away from things
that seem too hard. So whether you are a freshman, or a senior, consciously make an effort
everyday to make the most of your time while you're still in High School, take advanatage of the
activities offered, and never let fear hold you back. Get to know the people around you, and let
them get to know you. Because once you graduate, there's no going back, and trust me, you will
have regrets. But learn from them, don't let them rule you, don't let them keep you from going forward.
Regret is the soul killer, and God has given each one of you a purpose to fulfill. Take these years with
you and always remember them fondly. Your life is just beginning. Seek God always and you'll never go
wrong.
