The NYC Department of Small Business Services, NYC Office of Housing Recovery and the Sandy Recovery Workforce1 Career Center are partnering with The Edward J. Malloy Initiative for Construction Skills, Inc. to provide a 5-week construction pre-apprenticeship training class to eligible residents of Sandy-impacted neighborhoods.
Construction Skills has opened doors to career opportunities in the building and construction trades available through union apprenticeship programs and is helping to strengthen New York City's middle class. The access to meaningful long-term careers that pay good wages and benefits is empowering individuals and strengthening our communities.
